You, Me, and some quality chit-chat time

Thanks again for being willing to come on the show and share your insights! Our time on the call will be very conversational and low key so you can feel comfortable sharing your personal career path, your experience transitioning form the classroom to your next steps, insights you’ve gained through the process, and any suggestions you have for other teachers who are considering a change as well.

My story is that I taught for 7 years, loved it for 5 years, and knew I needed to do something different for 2…. but what?!?!  During those 2 years, I went through a long process to discover what I wanted to do next (instructional design) and gain the skills I needed to do it. I’ve loved the work I’ve done since then and the continued growth I’ve experienced. On the side, I’ve developed Teacher Transition as a resource to help teachers who might be in that tough place I was in back then. While your story might not be one of stagnation and craving more growth beyond the classroom, there is something that has you on your own unique transition path – a path I can’t wait to explore with you on the show!

The podcast will usually follow this type of flow:

  • How you got into teaching and what you loved about it

  • Your transition story (no two are alike!)

  • Next steps for you

  • “Two Tips” you have for other teachers considering a transition

I say it will usually follow this flow because being that it is a relaxed environment we may jump around a bit. In my mind there is no right or wrong way to bring out YOUR unique story so we will keep things open and light as we approach this.

Please let me know if you have any questions and again, THANK YOU for your time – I appreciate it and so will our listeners.
