Back to school, but ready for a new job

I still remember the feeling that hit DEEP in my gut when I picked up the Expo marker at the front of the classroom on that first day of my “nth” year of teaching. It had been a great summer break. I’d travelled all over the US, caught up with friends on the East Coast and on the West Coast, seen new things, been new places and after all of it I went back in my classroom to prepare for the upcoming school year.

But as I picked up the expo marker at the white board that first morning as students were about to walk into the classroom, DEEP in my gut I heard/felt the words, “You were JUST here.” Wait, wait, wait, just here here in the classroom recently?! No, not at all — I’d been away the whole summer, but in my gut it felt like I was back to doing the exact same thing again and my soul craved growth and a new setting so badly. Right then and there, I knew that I was in for a long year emotionally.

“I’d been away the whole summer, but in my gut it felt like I was back doing the exact same thing… Have you ever felt Groundhogs Day syndrome in your classroom?”

Have you ever felt Groundhogs Day syndrome in your classroom? If you are craving growth, something new and refreshing, and if a transition from the classroom to your next dream job is the right path for you but you aren’t sure what to do next, the Find your Next Dream Job course for teachers is exactly for you.

Maybe you’re thinking, “I thought teaching was my dream job, but now I don’t even know what I want to do next!” Well, discovering that is exactly where this course starts. If you have thought any of the following things, this course is precisely for you:

  • I know I need to be done teaching, but I don’t know what to do next.
  • I don’t know what I’m qualified to do other than teaching.
  • I have no idea what companies are even out there that would pay me what I need, and provide opportunities I would actually enjoy, with the work life balance that’s important to me.
  • Even if I knew what I wanted to do next I wouldn’t know how to go about it applying for it.
  • All my resume has on it is little jobs I had while I was in school teacher. I don’t feel like I have any marketable skills that a company would want to hire me for.

Give yourself the gift of getting past these “hesitation hurdles” that hold you back,  so you can move forward to your future dream job. There are such great things ahead of you, and sometimes all it takes is the courage to step forward on your path.

We’re here with you as you take your these next exciting steps and we’re cheering you on all the way!
